Problem is, the first one is from The Hollow Men from TS Eliot. 

…I went through an Eliot phase in college.

It is! And the villain Richard Lazarus quoted Eliot in Series 3 episode, The Lazarus Experiment. I wonder if the person writing the graffiti knew that - should have referenced Eliot as well.
